Chasing a competitive target of 265, India sealed the win in 48.1 overs, driven by Virat Kohli’s stellar 84-run performance. This victory marks India’s third appearance in the Champions Trophy final.
Australia, after being put to bat, managed 264 runs, with Steve Smith top-scoring with 73 off 96 balls. India’s disciplined bowling attack played a crucial role in restricting the total. Mohammed Shami led the attack, securing three wickets for 48 runs. Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja claimed two wickets each, while Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya chipped in with one wicket apiece.
