Karbi Anglong Police Seize 50.520kg Opium in Anti-Narcotics Operation
In a significant anti-narcotics operation, Karbi Anglong Police intercepted a vehicle in Khatkhati, Karbi Anglong district, seizing 50.520 kg of opium. The vehicle was coming from a neighboring state and was stopped during routine surveillance. The driver was apprehended on the spot, and further investigations are underway.
The successful operation is part of Assam’s ongoing war on drugs. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the Karbi Anglong Police for their swift action.
