Assam Police Nab Suspect, Recover 50,000 Yaba Tablets at Karbi Anglong Checkpoint
Guwahati: In a decisive anti-drug operation, Karbi Anglong Police seized approximately 50,000 suspected Yaba tablets during a vehicle check at Dilai Tiniali. Acting on reliable intelligence, officers intercepted the vehicle at a designated checkpoint, uncovering 25 bundles of the illicit tablets weighing around 5.302 kg.
The operation led to the apprehension of one suspect connected to the case, underscoring Karbi Anglong Police’s ongoing efforts against drug trafficking in the region. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the swift action, expressing gratitude on the microblogging platform ‘X’ by saying, “Kudos to Assam Police!”
