Three KPLA Cadres Surrender to Karbi Anglong Police with Weapons
Guwahati, August 19, 2024: In July 2024, an organization called KPLA was formed with the intent to commit extortion in the Karbi Anglong region, targeting areas like Langlokso, Nihanglangso, and Borpung. The group had been active in these areas, causing concern among local residents.
However, due to consistent police efforts, the situation took a turn. Three members of the KPLA surrendered to the Karbi Anglong police. During the surrender, they handed over three 0.32 pistols along with two live rounds of ammunition.
The successful operation by the police highlights their dedication to maintaining law and order in the region. The surrender of the KPLA cadres is seen as a significant step towards curbing criminal activities in Karbi Anglong.
