Major Wildlife Poaching Operation Yields 15.20KG Ivory Recovery in Dhemaji District
Desk Report, April 10, 2024: Special Task Force, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Anurag Sharma, in collaboration with Dhemaji Police, executed a meticulously planned operation aimed at curbing wildlife poaching. The operation, which took place in Kemi Village situated within the Dhemaji district, bordering Arunachal Pradesh, yielded significant results.
During the operation, STF successfully seized two ivory tusks, collectively weighing 15.20 kilograms. This significant recovery underscores the relentless efforts of the law enforcement agencies in combating illicit activities threatening wildlife conservation efforts.
