Manipur Police and Security Forces Conduct Search Operations, Recover Firearms and Grenades
Desk Report, April 06, 2024: In a concerted effort to maintain peace and security, Manipur Police, along with Security Forces, executed search operations and area dominations in the fringe and vulnerable regions of hill and valley districts within Manipur. The operations aimed to curb any potential threats and ensure the safety of residents in these areas.
During the meticulous search operations, conducted with precision and vigilance, authorities successfully recovered significant items from Terapishak Natekhong in Kakching District, Manipur. Among the recovered items were two SMG Carbines, accompanied by two empty magazines, indicating potential illicit activities in the region. Additionally, four 36 MMK 1A Hand grenades were seized, further highlighting the gravity of the situation.
The recovery of such arms and ammunition underscores the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in combating unlawful elements and maintaining law and order in sensitive areas.
