Since its launch on November 14, 2022, Mission Basundhara 2.0 has played a pivotal role in empowering landless indigenous people and vulnerable sections of society. The program offers flexible premium options, making it accessible to scheduled tribes, scheduled castes, persons with disabilities, widows without earning members, and cultivators with irregular income.
A key objective of Mission Basundhara 2.0 is to secure the land rights of tribal communities holding hereditary lands. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of fostering socio-economic growth and ensuring a more equitable distribution of resources.
CM Sarma emphasized the significance of this milestone, highlighting that it represents a crucial step towards empowering communities and bridging historical gaps. The government’s proactive approach in ensuring land rights for marginalized sections of society is a testament to its commitment to holistic development.
As the Mission Basundhara 2.0 team continues its statewide tour, the distribution of land pattas stands as a symbol of progress and inclusivity, marking a historic chapter in Assam’s journey towards prosperity and empowerment.
