Morigaon Police Seize Suspected Heroin; Two Accused Apprehended
In a major anti-drug operation, Morigaon Police raided Hahsara village and recovered 115.80 grams of suspected heroin. Following reliable information, the team of Laharighat Police Station reached the location without wasting any time and found the contraband during the search drive thereafter. The operation is believed to underline the continuous departmental effort to curb the drug trafficking racket in the region.
Two persons were arrested, identified as Mofidul Islam and Gulap Hussain. Both the accused are in police custody and are being interrogated to know more about their network that may be involved in these illegal activities. The authorities believe their arrest could help unveil larger networks linked to drug-smuggling in the area.
The latest seizure once again highlighted the relentless efforts of Morigaon Police against drug-related crimes. The locals have praised the police for taking immediate actions. Such efforts are very vital in an effort to keep communities suffering from drug problems.
