New Bi-Weekly Train Service Enhances Connectivity Between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri
Guwahati, June 17, 2024: The Northeast Frontier Railway (N.F. Railway) has announced the introduction of a bi-weekly special train service between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri, set to enhance passenger convenience. The service, designated as train numbers 05698/05697, will commence operations from 18th June 2024 and continue until 1st January 2025.
Train number 05698 will depart from Guwahati at 23:55 hours every Tuesday and Thursday, arriving in New Jalpaiguri at 08:15 hours the following day. The return service, train number 05697, will leave New Jalpaiguri at 11:15 hours every Wednesday and Friday, reaching Guwahati at 19:30 hours on the same day.
This special train will traverse a route including notable stations such as Kamakhya, Dudhnai, Goalpara Town, Abhayapuri, Chapar, Bilasipara, Gauripur, Golakganj, Tufanganj, New Coochbehar, Mathabhanga, New Changrabandha, Jalpaiguri Road, and Rani Nagar Jalpaiguri. The service aims to offer enhanced comfort for passengers across all classes, featuring AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, Sleeper Class, and General Seating Coaches.
Passengers are encouraged to verify the schedule and station stoppages on the IRCTC website and NTES. Additionally, updates will be disseminated through newspapers and the social media channels of N.F. Railway.
