War on Drugs: Nagaon Police Seize Heroin Worth ₹1 Crore
March 21, 2025: Nagaon Police intensified their crackdown on drug trafficking, seizing heroin worth ₹1 crore in a source-backed operation. The operation took place in the Gereki area of Nagaon district.
Acting on intelligence, officers intercepted a suspicious vehicle. A thorough search led to the recovery of 461 grams of heroin. The narcotics were concealed strategically to evade detection.
Authorities arrested one suspect in connection with the seizure. Further investigations are underway to trace the network involved in drug smuggling.
This operation is part of Assam’s ongoing fight against narcotics. Police continue to tighten their grip on drug peddlers to ensure a safer society.
