Neeraj Chopra Wins Silver in Men’s Javelin Throw at Paris Olympics 2024
Sports Desk, August 09, 2024: In a stellar performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, India’s Neeraj Chopra secured the silver medal in the men’s javelin throw event. The 26-year-old athlete registered his season-best throw of 89.45 meters, marking his second consecutive Olympic medal.
Chopra, who clinched gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, demonstrated exceptional skill and consistency throughout the competition. Despite his impressive performance, he was edged out by Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who set an Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters to claim the gold medal.
Chopra’s silver medal underscores his continued prominence in the sport, reinforcing his status as one of the leading javelin throwers on the global stage.
