Assam Chief Minister Unveils Assam Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme 2024
Guwahati, June 7, 2024: In a significant move aimed at bolstering educational opportunities for students, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the launch of the Assam Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme 2024 during a press conference held yesterday. The initiative, which underscores the state government’s commitment to enhancing educational support, is set to provide substantial financial benefits to students who have successfully cleared their High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) examinations.
Chief Minister Sarma detailed the provisions of the scheme, stating, “Under the Assam Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme 2024, HSLC pass students will each receive financial benefits amounting to Rs 12,500, while HS pass students will be granted Rs 10,000.” This financial aid aims to empower students to further their education or invest in their career aspirations.
To ensure the efficient distribution of these funds, a Cabinet Sub-Committee has been formed, comprising Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and Environment and Forests Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary. This committee is tasked with finalizing the framework for the allocation and distribution of the financial benefits. The Chief Minister emphasized that the implementation of the scheme is slated to begin in August, following formal ratification during a state cabinet meeting.
The Assam Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme 2024 represents a strategic effort by the state government to foster academic growth and professional development among the youth of Assam. By providing these tangible benefits, the government aims to create an environment conducive to educational advancement and career success, thereby contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the region.
This initiative reflects a broader vision of empowering the younger generation, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their academic and professional aspirations. As the scheme rolls out, it is anticipated to have a significant impact on the educational landscape of Assam, promoting a culture of learning and achievement.
