Northeast Frontier Railway Extends Services of Special Trains to Alleviate Passenger Rush
Guwahati, August 15, 2024: In response to increased passenger demand, the Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has announced an extension of four pairs of weekly special trains. These extensions aim to alleviate congestion and provide additional travel options.
The extended services include:
1. Train No. 05671/05672 (Guwahati – Anand Vihar Terminal – Guwahati): The Guwahati–Anand Vihar Terminal special train will now run on August 21, 2024, while the return service from Anand Vihar Terminal to Guwahati will be available on August 23, 2024.
2. Train No. 05919/05920 (New Tinsukia – Bhagat Ki Kothi – New Tinsukia): The New Tinsukia–Bhagat Ki Kothi service will be extended to August 19, 2024, and the return trip to New Tinsukia will operate on August 23, 2024.
3. Train No. 05734/05733 (Katihar – Amritsar – Katihar): The Katihar–Amritsar special will run from August 22 to September 12, 2024, every Thursday. The return service from Amritsar to Katihar will be extended from August 24 to September 14, 2024, every Saturday.
4. Train No. 02525/02526 (Kamakhya – Anand Vihar Terminal – Kamakhya): The Kamakhya–Anand Vihar Terminal service will be available from August 16 to September 6, 2024, every Friday. The return train from Anand Vihar Terminal to Kamakhya will operate from August 18 to September 8, 2024, every Sunday.
These extended services will help accommodate wait-listed passengers on these routes.
