Significant Drug Seizure in Fakirganj: Police Detain Suspect in Major Raid
Dhubri, June 05, 2024: In a decisive operation late last night, Fakirganj Police In-Charge Kundan Rabi Das, in coordination with South Salmara police, conducted a raid at the residence of Habibur Islam, son of Kushan Ali, in Naskara village. The raid culminated in the seizure of narcotics valued at approximately Rs 2 lakh.
Habibur Islam was detained during the operation. Subsequently, Fakirganj police have registered a suo motu case against him. The case, numbered 67/24, has been filed under sections 21(b) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
This successful raid underscores the ongoing efforts of local Police to combat the menace of drug trafficking in the region. The Fakirganj police remain vigilant and committed to eradicating such illicit activities from the community. Further investigations are underway.
