Desk Report, April 24, 2024: Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) figure, encountered a distressing episode on April 24th during a campaign event in Pusad, situated within Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district. Amidst delivering his speech in support of BJP-Mahayuti’s candidate Rajashri Patil, Gadkari succumbed to a bout of dizziness and subsequently collapsed on stage.
Notably, Gadkari, who has a longstanding battle with diabetes, has faced similar instances of dizziness in the past. Prompt action ensued as security personnel swiftly assisted the Minister off-stage following the fainting spell. Fortunately, Gadkari recuperated after a brief interlude and valiantly resumed his address.
In a testament to his resilience, the 66-year-old leader addressed concerns promptly, assuring his well-being and indicating his readiness to continue the campaign trail. “Felt uneasy due to heat at a rally at Pusad, Maharashtra. But now I am completely alright and on my way to Warud to take part in the next rally,” stated Gadkari in a post shared on X, underscoring his determination despite the momentary setback.
