After being put to bat first by Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a total of 172 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Key contributions came from Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Mahipal Lomror, while Avesh Khan took three crucial wickets for the Royals.
In their chase, Rajasthan Royals achieved the target with an over to spare. Yashasvi Jaiswal led the effort with a 45-run knock. Riyan Parag added a vital 36 runs, and Rovman Powell’s unbeaten 16-run finish ensured the victory.
Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers set the tone early. Trent Boult was exceptional with the new ball, conceding minimal runs and dismissing Faf du Plessis. Yuzvendra Chahal’s experience proved vital as he took the wicket of Kohli. Despite a shaky start, Avesh Khan’s performance at the death overs was pivotal, claiming the wickets of Patidar, Lomror, and Dinesh Karthik.
