Mridul Mazumder, Hajo, February 01, 2024: In observance of National Road Safety Month, an impactful awareness bike rally was organized through the collaborative efforts of Kamrup District Police and Hajo Police Station. The month-long National Road Safety initiative, spanning from January 15 to February 14, 2024, seeks to address the increasing incidents of traffic accidents in various parts of Kamrup district, involving both two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
The rising number of accidents, resulting in injuries and casualties, underscores the need for heightened awareness and adherence to traffic rules. The awareness bike rally, spearheaded by Inspector Nabojit Nath from Hajo Police Station, commenced in the early hours of Thursday. The event saw active participation from Dadra Police Out Post and Ramdia Police Out Post, collectively emphasizing the significance of road safety.

The key messages promoted during the rally include the imperative use of helmets for two-wheeler riders, avoidance of mobile phone usage while driving, and strict adherence to traffic rules for those operating four-wheelers.
