Desk Report, Mach 18, 2024: Royal Challengers Bangalore clinched a historic victory in the Women’s Premier League final, triumphing over Delhi Capitals by eight wickets to secure their maiden title in the tournament’s second season. In a display of sheer dominance, RCB’s women’s team showcased exemplary performance, overshadowing the struggles of their male counterparts in the IPL.
The match witnessed a commendable effort from RCB’s bowlers who efficiently contained Delhi Capitals’ batting lineup, restricting them from gaining momentum throughout the encounter. Spearheaded by Captain Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine, RCB’s batting line-up displayed resilience and determination, propelling their team towards the championship glory. Ellyse Perry’s unbeaten contribution proved pivotal in guiding RCB past the target of 114 runs with remarkable ease.

Mandhana’s 31 runs laid a solid foundation for RCB’s successful chase alongside Devine’s 32 runs. Perry’s unbeaten 35, coupled with Richa Ghosh’s 17 not out, ensured a comprehensive victory for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
