Shots Fired Outside AP Dhillon’s Vancouver Home; Alleged Gang Member Claims Responsibility
Desk Report, September 02, 2024: A disturbing incident unfolded on Victoria Island in Vancouver, Canada, as shots were reportedly fired outside the residence of popular Punjabi singer AP Dhillon. The incident, which occurred on Sunday night, has raised concerns after a man named Rohit Godara, allegedly linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility.
A video making rounds online, though unverified, shows a person standing outside a house and firing multiple shots into the night. While the location in the video hasn’t been confirmed, it’s believed to be near AP Dhillon’s home in British Columbia.
In a social media post, Rohit Godara allegedly took credit for the firing, claiming it occurred at two separate locations in Canada—Victoria Island and Woodbridge, Toronto. He further asserted that the attack outside Dhillon’s residence was in retaliation for the singer featuring Bollywood star Salman Khan in a recent music video. Godara also issued direct death threats to Dhillon, asserting his connection to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Security agencies in Canada are actively investigating these claims, reviewing the footage to determine its authenticity. So far, neither AP Dhillon nor the Canadian authorities have issued public statements regarding the incident.
This incident isn’t isolated. Similar claims have surfaced in the past, with individuals allegedly linked to Lawrence Bishnoi. Last November, Bishnoi reportedly claimed responsibility for a shooting at Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal’s home in Vancouver’s White Rock neighborhood. Additionally, earlier this year in April, two motorcyclists allegedly opened fire outside Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai, prompting the Mumbai Police to label Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi as “wanted accused.”
The situation remains under investigation as authorities work to verify the details and ensure the safety of those involved.
