Dhubri, February 19, 2024: In a recent crackdown, Gauripur police launched a decisive operation against a resurged smuggled cattle racket in Dhubri. The vigilant operation led to the apprehension of six smugglers and the recovery of four smuggled cattle and five bikes.
The arrested individuals include Hosen Ali from Jaldoba Part I, Mojammel Hoque, Bahaz Uddin Paramanik, Shahaj Uddin Paramanik, Asad Paramanik, and Habibur Rahman Sheikh from North Geramari village. Currently, these six alleged cattle smugglers are undergoing rigorous interrogation at the Gauripur police station.

During the operation, law enforcement authorities successfully seized five bikes, identified by the registration numbers AS 17 K 0637, AS 17 G 8788, AS 17 G 8130, AS 16 B 2332, and AS 17 E 7614.
The crackdown signifies a significant blow against the resurgence of the cattle smuggling network.
