Agomani, March 19, 2204: In a significant crackdown, Golakganj Police intercepted a Bolero pick-up van bearing registration number AS 17 C 4001, loaded with smuggled sal timber logs in the early hours of March 18. The Golakganj police, while monitoring the transportation route from Moterjhar to West Bengal, made the seizure, yet the driver managed to evade capture.
Upon inspection, a substantial quantity of smuggled timber was discovered within the confines of the seized Bolero pick-up van. This incident sheds light on an ongoing issue concerning a suspected timber smuggling network, purportedly operating a profitable trade of supplying sal logs from Moterjhar to West Bengal.
