Sribhumi Police and BSF Seize 8,000 Yaba Tablets in Sutarkandi Operation, One Arrested
In a major anti-narcotics operation, Sribhumi Police, in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF), intercepted a vehicle at Sutarkandi and seized 8,000 Yaba tablets. The joint operation, based on secret intelligence, led to the arrest of one suspect.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the efforts of Sribhumi Police and BSF. He acknowledged their commitment to combating drug trafficking through a post on ‘X,’ stating, “Kudos to @AssamPolice for their relentless efforts in combating the drug trade.”
The Assam Police have intensified their crackdown on narcotics smuggling, making several significant seizures in recent months. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating drug networks operating in the region.
