STF Assam Seizes Heroin, Arrests One in Guwahati Anti-Drug Operation
Guwahati: In a significant anti-drug operation, the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police apprehended an individual and seized 29.9 grams of heroin in Guwahati. Acting on precise information, the STF conducted a raid on Tripura Road within the jurisdiction of Basistha Police Station.
The operation led to the seizure of 21 vials containing heroin, a motorcycle, a substantial amount of cash, a mobile phone, and various other items from the suspect. The authorities believe the recovered articles may have links to broader narcotic networks operating in the region.
This seizure underscores Assam’s continuing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the state. STF officials emphasized that such operations are critical in countering the growing drug menace in urban centers like Guwahati.
