STF Assam Raids Dhekiajuli Residence, Seizes Illegal Arms and Ammunition
Assam STF Nabs Three in Dhekiajuli Raid, Recovers Assault Rifle and Ammunition
February 07, 2025: A team from the Special Task Force (STF), Assam, conducted a raid in Harasatapu, Muslim Chapori, under Dhekiajuli Police Station. Acting on a specific input, the operation took place early in the morning under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy. SP) Satyendra Singh Hazari.
During the raid, three individuals involved in illegal arms trafficking were apprehended. Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including one HK 33 Assault Rifle and 30 rounds of 5.56x45mm ammunition. Authorities also seized three mobile phones, a Bolero vehicle (Reg. No. AS 12 U 9887), and a Royal Enfield motorcycle (Reg. No. AS 12 AF 7217) from the location.
The arrested individuals are being interrogated to determine the source and destination of the recovered arms. Officials believe the weapons could have been intended for illegal activities in the region.
