STF Assam Seizes 600 Grams of Heroin in Amingaon, Two Arrested
STF Assam Nabs Drug Smugglers with 600 Grams of Heroin in Amingaon
Guwahati; February 09, 2024: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam seized 600 grams of heroin at Amingaon. Acting on a tip-off, an STF team led by Additional SP (STF) Kalyan Kr. Pathak intercepted a suspicious truck coming from Mizoram.
During a thorough search, officers discovered 50 soap boxes filled with heroin. The illicit consignment was immediately seized. Two individuals, suspected to be involved in drug smuggling, were taken into custody. Authorities also confiscated the truck used for transportation.
The STF has intensified its operations to curb drug trafficking across Assam. Investigations are underway to trace the source and further links of this illegal trade.
