STF Assam Seizes Heroin Shipment in Kamrup, Arrests One in Major Drug Bust
Guwahati: In a significant anti-drug operation, Assam’s Special Task Force (STF) seized 325 grams of heroin in Kamrup district. Acting on specific intelligence, the STF team, led by Additional Superintendent of Police Kalyan Kr Pathak, intercepted a suspicious vehicle near Palashbari. The vehicle, identified by registration number AS 01 EL 8258, was carrying 25 soap boxes containing heroin.
The operation, executed with precision, resulted in the seizure of the vehicle used for smuggling, and officials arrested individuals connected to the drug transportation. Authorities believe this arrest marks an essential step in curbing heroin trafficking networks in the region.
