STF Assam Seizes Weapons and Ammunition in Crackdown on Jehadi Module
The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam intensified its crackdown on a recently uncovered Jehadi module, making significant progress in the operation. Authorities apprehended Abul Zahar SK, a 30-year-old resident of Joypur, Namapara, Kokrajhar district.
During the operation, STF recovered a cache of weapons and other dangerous materials based on the suspect’s disclosure. The items included four handmade rifles, 34 rounds of ammunition, and 24 blank cartridges. In addition, investigators found components essential for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other incriminating evidence.
This recovery marks a crucial step in dismantling the module and preventing potential threats. Security forces remain on high alert as investigations continue to uncover further links and accomplices.
Authorities emphasized their commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring public safety by curbing such unlawful activities. The STF’s proactive measures highlight Assam’s firm stand against extremism.
