STF Assam Nabs Two Women with Ganja and Drug Paraphernalia in Sonapur Raid

Acting on specific intelligence, the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam conducted a successful operation under the jurisdiction of Sonapur Police Station. The raid, led by Inspector Kapil Pathak, took place at 14 Mile and resulted in the apprehension of two women involved in illegal drug activities.

The operation uncovered 7.292 kg of cannabis (ganja) along with 355 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). Additionally, 30 pre-rolled cones and 44 ultra-thin papers, commonly used for cannabis consumption, were seized. Authorities also recovered cash and three mobile phones from the suspects, which are believed to be linked to the illicit activities.

The arrested women were detained for further questioning, and the recovered items have been sent for forensic analysis. The STF team is continuing its investigation to identify and dismantle the broader network behind this illegal trade.
