STF Operation Leads to Arrest of Two Drug Peddlers in Jalukbari
Guwahati, July 10, 2024: Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Special Task Force (STF) led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Satyendra Singh Hazari successfully apprehended two drug peddlers during an operation conducted in Pandu under the jurisdiction of the Jalukbari Police Station.
The STF team executed the operation with precision, leading to the arrest of the suspects. Subsequent searches at the rented residence of the accused resulted in significant seizures. Authorities recovered 10 soap boxes containing heroin, weighing a total of 110 grams. In addition, the team seized a two wheeler scooty bearing registration number MH 12 FS 1273, two mobile handsets, Rs. 6,000 in cash, one black bag, and various other articles.
The seized contraband and items have been taken into custody, and an investigation is underway to uncover further links and networks involved in the drug trade. This operation marks a notable achievement in the STF’s ongoing efforts to combat narcotics trafficking in the region.
