STF Operation Leads to Arrest of Woman Drug Peddler in Jalukbari
Guwahati, July 17, 2024: Acting on reliable intelligence, a Special Task Force (STF) team executed a successful operation at Phoolpahi Nagar near the Jalukbari Flyover, leading to the apprehension of a woman drug peddler. The operation, conducted under the jurisdiction of the Jalukbari Police Station, resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of heroin.
The STF team seized 32 vials containing heroin, with a total weight of 52.5 grams. In addition to the heroin, the authorities recovered six empty vials, a mobile handset, and an undisclosed amount of cash from the suspect’s possession.
The arrested individual is currently under custody, and further investigations are underway to uncover potential links to larger drug networks. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to eradicating drug-related activities and have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
