Detailed Syllabus for Assam Direct Recruitment Examination Announced by Chief Minister
Guwahati, July 15, 2024: In a recent announcement on the social networking platform ‘X’, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled the comprehensive syllabus for the upcoming Grade III examination under the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE). This disclosure follows the advertisement issued by the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) on October 30, 2023, which detailed the examination structure for Class-III posts.
The detailed syllabus encompasses three educational tiers: Bachelor’s Degree, Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC), and High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) for driver positions. Each level features a distinct set of subjects and question patterns.
Bachelor’s Degree Level Posts:
– Social Studies: 30 questions
– General Knowledge: 35 questions
– Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability: 20 questions
– General Mathematics: 30 questions
– General English: 10 questions
– Reading Comprehension and English Language: 25 questions
The examination for this level will last three hours and consist of 150 questions, carrying a total of 175 marks.
HSSLC Level Posts:
– Social Studies: 30 questions
– General Knowledge: 30 questions
– Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability: 20 questions
– General English: 35 questions
– General Mathematics: 35 questions
This test will also be three hours long, featuring 150 questions worth 150 marks.
HSLC Level Posts (Driver):
– Social Studies: 20 questions
– General Knowledge: 30 questions
– Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability: 20 questions
– General English: 30 questions
– General Mathematics: 30 questions
– Road Transport: 20 questions
Similarly, this examination will be three hours in duration, comprising 150 questions for a total of 150 marks.
The SLRC has confirmed that all question papers will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a single correct answer for each question. A system of negative marking will be in place, deducting 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer to a one-mark question and 0.50 marks for a two-mark question.
The question papers will be available in multiple languages, including Assamese, Bengali, English, Bodo, and Hindi. Specific dates and times for the examinations will be announced in due course.
