New Traffic Regulations Announced in Guwahati Due to Cycle Factory Flyover Construction
Guwahati, July 11, 2024: In light of the upcoming foundation work on the Cycle Factory Flyover, spanning from Birubari Tiniali to Bisnupur Junction, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Guwahati, has announced significant changes in traffic routes. These regulations will be enforced starting July 15, 2024, until further notice.
Key Changes in Traffic Routes:
1. Restriction on Goods and Commercial Vehicles: No goods carrying vehicles, commercial vehicles, or slow-moving vehicles will be permitted to travel on the stretch from Cycle Factory point to Bishnupur Tiniali and vice versa, until the construction is completed.
2. One-Way Stretch: The road segment between Cycle Factory point and Birubari Tiniali will be designated as a one-way route.
3. Diversion for Vehicles from Lalganesh/Cycle Factory: Vehicles approaching from Lalganesh or the Cycle Factory area will be diverted at the Cycle Factory point towards Bishnupur Road.
4. Access from Arya Nagar/Birubari Tiniali: Vehicles coming from Arya Nagar or Birubari Tiniali will only be allowed to proceed from Birubari Tiniali towards the Cycle Factory point.
These changes are part of the efforts to manage traffic flow and minimize disruption during the construction of the Cycle Factory Flyover. Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow the new regulations for a smoother transit experience. The authorities urge all motorists to adhere to these changes to ensure safety and efficiency on the roads.
