Traffic Restrictions in Guwahati for Foundation Work of Cycle Factory Flyover Extension
Guwahati, August 18, 2024: In light of the proposed extension of the foundation work for the Cycle Factory Flyover, spanning from Cycle Factory to Barsapara Junction, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Guwahati, has issued new traffic regulations. These changes will come into effect from August 19, 2024, until further notice.
The following are the key details of the traffic adjustments:
1. One-Way Traffic Implementation: The stretch between Birubari Tiniali Point and Barsapara Tiniali will be converted into a one-way route. Vehicles approaching from Arya Nagar and Birubari Tiniali will be permitted to travel towards Barsapara Tiniali.
2. Two-Way Traffic Reinstatement: Upon the completion of a specific portion of the work, the stretch from Birubari Tiniali Point to Cycle Factory Point will be opened for two-way traffic.
3. Lalganesh Traffic Diversion: Vehicles traveling from Lalganesh towards Cycle Factory will be diverted at Barsapara Tiniali Point. They will pass through Kula Basumatary Road in front of ACA Stadium, Barsapara, and proceed towards Dhirenpara Tiniali on A.K. Dev Road. From there, they may either turn left towards NH-27 or right towards Ambari Tiniali/Fatasil Chariali.
The traffic department urges all commuters to follow the newly implemented traffic guidelines to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the construction period.
