Tragic Road Mishap Claims Life in Namgaon
Morigaon, March 12, 2024: In a heart-wrenching incident, Namgaon was plunged into darkness as a fatal road accident unfolded late at night. The unfortunate event claimed the life of Rubia Khatun, leaving several others gravely injured.
The catastrophe occurred when a Morigaon-bound AS 21C 5031 tempo collided with a Super bus en route to Guwahati on the national highway. Among the victims, five critically injured individuals have been transferred to Gauhati Medical College & Hospital for advanced medical care, while two are receiving treatment at Morigaon Civil Hospital.

Reports indicate that the tempo driver was transporting approximately 10 passengers from Dharmukh, located under the jurisdiction of Kampur police station in Nagaon, towards Morigaon. The tragic collision took place at Namgaon, under the purview of Raha police station.
The deceased woman’s body has been moved to the mortuary of Morigaon Swahid Tilak Hemram Gunabhiram Civil Hospital for postmortem examination. As the community grapples with this devastating loss, authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
