Kampur, February 21, 2024: In a devastating incident that unfolded on Wednesday morning, a laborer lost his life after plummeting from an under-construction flyover in Kampur, situated within Assam’s Nagaon district. The unfortunate episode occurred during the early hours at the recently erected flyover.
The laborer, identified as Dipankar, met with a fatal outcome while engaged in construction activities. His tragic fall transpired as he inadvertently tripped and descended from the flyover. The mishap took place as he was ascending to commence his duties at the construction site.

Reports suggest that the incident may be attributed to a lapse in the welding process on the upper plate of the flyover. This critical oversight allegedly led to the collapse, resulting in Dipankar’s untimely demise. The construction worker’s identity was confirmed as Dipankar, adding a poignant dimension to this somber event.
