Tragic Collision in Orang Claims Two Lives and Leaves Three Critically Injured
Udalguri, April 08, 2024: A devastating road accident has shaken the community of Orang, claiming two lives and leaving three others critically injured. The heart-wrenching incident occurred when a speeding Hyundai Grand i10 collided with a stationary container with tremendous force.
The tragic collision unfolded on National Highway 15, right in front of the Orang police station in Udalguri district, on April 7th at 9 PM. The Hyundai Grand i10, bearing registration number AS 12Y 2263, was en route to Guwahati from Gorubandha in Tezpur when it violently struck the back of the container, identified by number WB 11D 3705, which was parked in front of the police station.
The aftermath of this horrific accident has left a family shattered. The deceased have been identified as Subhash Orang and Archana Oja Orang, both hailing from Gorubandha in Misamari, Tezpur. Their untimely demise has cast a pall of gloom over the entire community.
Meanwhile, the three survivors of the accident are battling for their lives at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital. Among the injured are a 3-year-old child and a 14-year-old girl, highlighting the severity and indiscriminate nature of the tragedy. The passengers of the ill-fated Hyundai Grand i10 are believed to be members of the same family, compounding the anguish and sorrow.
