BJP’s Sarbananda Sonowal Spearheads Campaign in Dibrugarh: Emphasizes Development and Coordination
Desk Report, March 21, 2024: Union Minister and Dibrugarh Lok Sabha candidate, Sarbananda Sonowal, championed the BJP-led NDA’s commitment to progress during campaign rallies across Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts. Emphasizing a contrast with Congress allies, Sarbananda Sonowal underscored their focus on division and corruption while portraying the NDA as proponents of coordination and development.
Sarbananda Sonowal’s strategic electoral approach not only put Congress allies on the defensive but also eroded their support base. Organizational meetings with party workers aimed to bolster campaign efforts, highlighting the BJP’s welfare initiatives under its ‘double engine government.
Reflecting on the past decade, Sarbananda Sonowal credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance for fostering equal development and coordination nationwide. He attributed the improved living standards in Barak-Brahmaputra to the BJP’s initiatives, garnering widespread faith in the party.
Sarbananda Sonowal’s optimism extended to the upcoming polls in Dibrugarh constituency, anticipating strong voter support aligned with Modi’s vision for India’s economic growth and inclusive development. He stressed the pivotal role of Modi’s leadership in achieving the ambitious goal of making India the world’s third-largest economy by 2030, underlining the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.’
Highlighting Congress’s legacy, Sarbananda Sonowal criticized their failure to uplift India’s economic condition, citing inadequate provisions for basic necessities like housing, clean water, and electricity. He condemned Congress for fostering societal divisions and rampant corruption, attributing their electoral setbacks to public retribution.
Sarbananda Sonowal juxtaposed Congress’s shortcomings with the developmental strides witnessed under the NDA, both during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure and Modi’s leadership. He rallied for continued progress under Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,’ emphasizing the transformative impact on India’s global competitiveness.
Asserting the significance of the upcoming elections, Sarbananda Sonowal rallied Assam’s populace behind the vision of a developed state contributing to India’s prosperity. He expressed confidence in Dibrugarh constituency’s potential to achieve unprecedented development, reflecting a broader national aspiration.
As the BJP commemorates its foundation day on April 6, Sarbananda Sonowal urged supporters to display party flags across Dibrugarh’s booth committees. Additionally, he paid homage to late journalist and revered figure Rupah Chaliha, extending condolences to the bereaved family.
Accompanied by prominent state officials and local leaders, Sarbananda Sonowal’s engagements underscored the BJP’s grassroots outreach and commitment to the community’s welfare.
