Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma had earlier stirred controversy by announcing the Assam Polygamy Ban Bill’s introduction in this session. Additionally, the Assam Tourism (Development and Registration) Bill, 2024, and several new and amendment bills are expected to be presented during the Budget Session, further contributing to the charged political environment.
