Wild Elephant Rampage Leaves Forest Officer Injured and Property Damaged in Kachua, Nagaon
Kachua, March 24, 2024: In a distressing incident in Kachua, Nagaon, a group of wild elephants caused widespread damage and injured Siraj Ali, the Pahartoli Forest Sub Beat Officer. Ali suffered severe injuries while trying to drive away the elephants from the area.
The rampage led to significant destruction, including the leveling of a house and the ruin of a betel nut garden. The elephants, still located in the Sankhola area, brought chaos to the region.
Due to the attack, Siraj Ali sustained serious injuries and is now being transferred to Nagaon for advanced medical treatment.
