Dhubri Police Conducts Major Drive to Clear Abandoned Vehicles Across the District
Dhubri Police Launches Drive to Remove Abandoned Vehicles Ahead of Republic Day
Dhubri: In an effort to bolster public safety and ensure a clean and secure environment ahead of Republic Day celebrations, the Dhubri Police launched a district-wide operation to remove abandoned vehicles from public areas. The operation, conducted under the supervision of Dhubri Superintendent of Police (SP) Nabin Singh, resulted in the removal of 62 abandoned vehicles on Wednesday, 24 of which were from Dhubri town alone.
Addressing about it, SP Nabin Singh emphasized the need for public cooperation in tackling this issue. He described abandoned vehicles as a significant security threat, a public nuisance, and an eyesore. “Vehicles left unattended on highways, public places for 24 hours or more, or parked on private property without consent pose potential risks. We urge citizens to report such vehicles promptly,” SP Singh stated.
To facilitate reporting, Dhubri Police has set up a 24×7 toll-free helpline at 6026900390, encouraging residents to come forward with information on abandoned vehicles in their areas.
The removed vehicles have been relocated to designated storage areas identified by the municipal boards or local circle officers to ensure proper handling. The initiative has garnered positive feedback from local residents, who have lauded the police for their proactive measures in addressing the issue.
This drive is part of a broader effort by the Dhubri Police to maintain public safety and enhance security measures during the Republic Day period, which often sees heightened vigilance across the country.
Residents are encouraged to stay vigilant and contribute to the safety of the district by promptly reporting any such cases to the police. Dhubri Police assures that all reports will be acted upon swiftly to maintain the district’s safety and cleanliness.
